Kevin Dee King Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kevin Dee King of Stevensville passed away suddenly on June 22nd, 2022. He was 60 years old. Kevin was born on March 2nd, 1962, to the late Lieutenant Colonel Monroe D King, USA, and the late Doris Jean King. Kevin grew up in Fort Benning, GA. The family relocated to Bowie, MD when the Colonel left for Vietnam. The family remained in Bowie after the Colonel’s death in 1970. Kevin loved playing hockey as a child and really enjoyed all the great backyard pool parties at the house. Kevin worked as a plumber for over 30 years. Kevin met the love of his life Becky; they married and went on to raise two wonderful children: Kristopher and Amanda. The family lived in multiple states before settling in Stevensville, MD. Kevin loved fishing, boating, and crabbing. Many of the family’s memories are centered around Smith Mountain Lake, VA, Nags Head, NC, and camping along the east coast. Kevin was an avid cook who in the past 5 years expanded his style of grilling and embraced new flavors, spices, and rubs. Kevin also loved working on his yard and took pride in his gardens. Kevin loved traveling with Becky along with his family and friends- especially his two granddaughters Bryn & Millie. Along with his parents, Kevin is predeceased by his sister Pam King, his brother Corey King, brothers-in-law, Victor Size, Timothy Keller, and Chris Keller. Kevin will be deeply missed by his wife Rebecca Suzanne King of Stevensville, his son Kristopher Dee King of Easton, his daughter Amanda Jean King of Queen Anne, his granddaughters Brynley and Amelia Griffith as well as their father and friend Michael Griffith, his sister Leslie and brother-in-law Sam Yourd of California, his in-laws Jerilyn and Tom Rock of West Virginia and Carmen and Jack Divers of North Carolina, his sisters-in-law, Laurie Size of Stevensville and Johnna Wingard of West Virginia, his bother-in-law Dean Keller of North Carolina. Along with all his nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends.
