Betty Ann Short

Betty Ann Short of Chestertown, MD went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home. She was 74. Betty Ann was born Feb 3, 1948 in Chester County, PA the daughter of the late John W. Carey and Aldorah “Stewart” Carey. After marrying the late Robert W. Short, they moved to Maryland where Betty Ann spent most of her life taking care of and raising her family. She was the rock of the family and the glue that helped hold it together. She loved drinking coffee, eating chicken and ice cream and always making sure you never left her house hungry. Her faith and love were synonymous and she always supported her family in their worst times. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Short, one son, Joseph W. Short and two brothers, Bobby and Cliffy. She is survived by one son, Richard Wayne Short (Tammy) of Millington, MD, one daughter, Connie Lynn Robinson (Billy) of Church Hill, MD, three sisters, Cleo, Shirley, Norah and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 10-11am at Fellows Family Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, MD. Services will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Crumpton Cemetery in Crumpton, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to Compass Regional Hospice 160 Coursevall Dr Centreville, MD 21617.
