Anthony Leo Dowgiallo

March 20, 1937 - December 19, 2021

Anthony Leo Dowgiallo of Centreville, MD passed away on December 19, 2021, at The University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD. He was 84. Born on March 20, 1937, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Leo and Anne Czajkowski Dowgiallo. He grew up in the Curtis Bay area and went to the McDonough School in Mt. Washington. Tony went on to become a professional surveyor and was part owner of Boyd & Dowgiallo Engineering & Surveying Company, which he ran for 35 years. When he semi-retired he became an offshore fishing captain and ran charters out of Ocean City, MD for 8 years on his boat called “The Foxy Lady”. He married Joan Michaels on December 16, 1966, and then moved to the Eastern Shore in 2005. Tony retired from Boyd & Dowgiallo in 2007. He was an active member of the Chartwell Country Club for many years, a member of Prospect Bay Country Club & Queenstown Golf Club. He enjoyed golfing, crabbing, and fishing. Tony is survived by his wife of 55 years Joan Dowgiallo of Centreville, MD; children Tom Shipley; Paul Nevin; Stephanie Snyder (Charlie); Susan Decker (Bill); Shelia Jenkins (Chris); David Dowgiallo (Sandra); Sharon Kuba (Nick); Don Dowgiallo (Erika); 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
