William Olin (Billy) Bryan passed away at his home on July 26. He was 60 years old.
Born in St. Michaels on September 24, 1949, he was the son of the late James Marion and Peggy Cummings Bryan. He graduated from St. Michaels High School and Chesapeake College.
Billy will be remembered for his kind heart, caring and generosity. He was active in many local civic organizations and had served on the local college board, local bank board, and was a 32 degree Mason. He was instrumental in starting the Bryan Foundation. He donated many hours and materials for the fields in Trappe and Chesapeake College which were named for his father. Every year he made anonymous donations to local families in need, and donated bikes every Christmas to the Easton Police Department.
He also raised grand champion mini Hereford cows. Known for his humor, he loved people, the outdoors, and animals. Most special were all the times he spent with his grandson, Kasey.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; twin children Kimberly Bryan Mill and her husband, Donnie, of Easton and Jason Todd Bryan and his girlfriend, Lisa, of Easton; brother, Allen Bryan, Sr.; and grandson, Kasey Mull. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Bryan and Kenneth Bryan. The four brothers were known as the Bryan Brothers, working together in the family business for nearly 40 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 30, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Easton, where friends may call beginning at 9:00 am.
Burial will be private.
