He was born in Chesterville, MD on October 15, 1929, son of the late, Albert and Catherine (Bailey) Spry. After working for the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years as a block operator, Mr. Spry served as a purchasing agent for Amtrak as well as a district Representative for the local Railroad Union. He was a member of Laurel American Legion Post 19 as well as a member of the United States Trotting Association. He loved to watch horse races and racing. In addition to his wife, Berniece D. Spry, he is survived by his children, Joanna Eichenmiller and her husband, David of Seaford, DE, Darnell Murray and her husband, Keith of Frankford, DE; grandchildren, Jennifer Norwood and her husband, David Peterman, Ronald Littleton and Melinda Eichenmiller; great-grandchildren, Katherine Bailey, Ronald J. Littleton II., Megan E. Littleton; great great-grandchildren, Melanie Coulbourn. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 27th at 2 PM at Sudlersville Cemetery in Sudlersville, MD friends and family can call from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home at 370 W.
